What We Do
The goal of Delta Delta Sigma is to provide students with community service opportunities and guidance towards a career in dentistry. We aspire to help students build a strong professional foundation with real world, hands-on experiences such as clinical volunteering, mission trips, and health fairs. We urge our members to value the necessity of serving those in underserved communities while also reinforcing academic integrity on the road towards dental school. Members will have the opportunity to network with dental students, alumni, dental professionals, and fellow pre-dentals. Delta Delta Sigma welcomes all students interested in health care professions to attain exposure to the exciting world of dentistry.
FAMILY
Family
Through our common goals, we come together as brothers and sisters to find a home away from home. Through the connections built within Delta Delta Sigma, members have gained internships, advice, and friendships. Our family system provides our members with the opportunity to obtain lasting relationships with those who have similar aspirations. We foster the bond between our members by holding brotherhood and bonding events throughout the year such as quarterly retreats, dodgeball tournaments, and social events.
SERVICE
"Auxilium per alios, nos crescimus"
Through helping others, we grow.
Service
Our fraternity is built on our true devotion to service. To not only challenge ourselves academically, but to become intertwined with the community is a virtue we hold dear. We travel to Tijuana, Mexico for mission trips, create smile kits to distribute to the homeless in Santa Ana, and volunteer at various food pantries and health fairs.
DENTISTRY
Dentistry
Our interest in service and health care come together to kindle our fire for the dental field. Though young, we grow together intellectually and passionately towards a career that utilizes science and artistry. To prepare our brothers and sisters for dental school, we have attended Inside UCSF, UOP Simulation Day, UCLA Core Build-Up Day, and the USC Explorers Program. Dental school visits and manual dexterity exercises are provided throughout the year.
